It is adjusted to the respective market situation on a monthly basis. <\/p><p>The EKZ is calculated transparently and reflects current market developments so that we can react appropriately to fluctuations in energy prices. This was originally based on the massive rise in oil prices and is still calculated using the IPE Brent Oil price. The aim of the energy cost surcharge was to have a clear and transparent mechanism that makes it possible to adjust the surcharge according to the IPE Brent Oil Index &#8211; depending on the increase or decrease in prices.  <\/p><p>In February 2022, due to the sharp rise in gas surcharges, the glassworks introduced the new glassworks surcharge (GHZ), which is also clearly and transparently based on the Dutch TTF natural gas feed-in value.<\/p><p>Since November 1, 2023, we have also been forced to introduce a regulation for the increasingly volatile development of electricity prices. A transparent solution based on the Day Ahead Auction Price Index in accordance with the Swiss Federal Electricity Commission (EICom) should also make it possible to track the corresponding additional prices responsible for the production of our refined products at any time. <\/p><p>The energy cost surcharge is calculated per kilogram of net weight of the glass supplied (number of square meters multiplied by the thickness of the glass multiplied by 2.5 kg specific weight).<\/p><p>The order date (order confirmation) is used to calculate the surcharge.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3fa51d2 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-child\" data-id=\"3fa51d2\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;animation&quot;:&quot;none&quot;,&quot;animation_mobile&quot;:&quot;fadeIn&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e216364 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"e216364\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">1. IPE Brent Index (oil)<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b9909be elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b9909be\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Which index is used for the oil surcharge?<\/strong> <br>There are different values for the IPE Brent Oil Price depending on when the oil contract is needed, within which market or which individual contract it is. In order to have continuity here, we use the forward price for the middle month of the new quarter, which is given on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.finanzen.net\/rohstoffe\/oelpreis#historisch\">Financial Times website<\/a>. This means, for example, that on January 15th of a year we use the IPE Brent forward price for February.  <\/p><p><strong>How often is the energy cost surcharge according to the IPE Brent Index (oil) reviewed and changed?<\/strong> <br\/>Quarterly, based on the IPE Brent Index value on the evening of the 15th calendar day of the previous month. The four quarters of the calendar year begin on November 1, February 1, May 1 and August 1. If the 15th falls on a weekend or a public holiday, the IPE Brent Index value of the last closing price is used for the calculation.  <\/p><p><strong>How is the amount of the surcharge calculated based on the IPE Brent Index (oil)?<\/strong> <br>The IPE Brent Index is calculated from a price range of 30 dollars per barrel. For every $4 increase in the oil price, the energy cost surcharge will be increased by 2.5 cents per kilogram of glass. The increase from the old 2 Rp. to the new 2.5 Rp. is related to the sharp rise in glass blending quotas. If the average MTD price is less than or equal to \u20ac 40.00\/MWh, the GHZ is not charged. <\/p><p><strong>How is the amount of the surcharge calculated based on the TTF natural gas price index (gas)?<br><\/strong>The glassworks surcharge according to the TTF natural gas price index is calculated as follows: From a price bandwidth of \u20ac 40.00 per MWh, the difference to the effective price is calculated with the calculation factor of \u20ac 2.65\/MWh\/ton the surcharge.
