SBB Rotonde in Brig
Built with vetroTherm 1.1
As part of the restoration of the historic SBB Rotonde in Brig, Flachglas Thun AG was able to supply a total of around 220 m² of vetroTherm 1.1 thermal insulation glass, which meets both the aesthetic requirements and the energy standards. The Rotonde in Brig is an important structure in the Swiss railroad network and impresses with its historic architecture. The challenge during the restoration was to reconcile modern technical requirements, particularly in terms of thermal insulation and energy efficiency, with the historical substance of the building. With vetroTherm 1.1, an ideal solution was found that not only increases thermal comfort, but also preserves the architectural beauty of the building. vetroTherm 1.1 offers excellent insulation values and thus helps to reduce energy consumption, while at the same time ensuring a high level of transparency and therefore optimum light transmission.
