Library and school extension in Schindellegi

The library and school extension project in Schindellegi represents an outstanding contribution by Flachglas Schweiz to the promotion of education and culture. With a focus on transparency, light flooding and sustainability, special glass solutions have been developed that not only meet aesthetic requirements, but also offer optimum conditions for learning and reading. Through the targeted use of innovative insulating glass, we were able to create spaces that offer an inviting and inspiring environment for pupils and visitors to the library. Where there is a high level of solar radiation, vetroSol 53/28 Trio provided an optimal solution that prevents the rooms from overheating. vetroTherm 1.1 Trio with high energy permeability and optimum thermal insulation was installed on the less sunny façade areas. The glass architecture not only promotes interaction and concentration, but also integrates the building harmoniously into its natural surroundings. The project in Schindellegi impressively demonstrates how modern glass solutions can enhance the quality of educational facilities and at the same time meet energy and ecological standards.
